Spanish draughts is a variant of the draughts family, a two-handed game played on a board with sixty-four squares, half of which are white and the other half black. The game includes twenty-four pieces, twelve white and twelve black. The board is set up in a way that the rightmost square on both sides is black.

The objective of the game is to either capture or 'lock' all of the opponent's checkers, making it impossible for them to make any moves.
